The shoot of '8-Ball' begins in November with the huge task of filling and filming a night club scene. But we can't pull this off without help from you! We need 150 extras willing to contribute a few hours each to the success of this film. What's in it for me? We want to get you as involved as possible with making this film a success. So we want you to bring your cameras to the shoot, dance and get snappy! When the shoot is over, you can send your best photos in to us and get your own space on the website! Also, at the première of the film, you will have the opportunity to see yourself on the big screen as part of a slideshow as well as the film itself. We want this to be a community project, so tell people about it and let's see how far we can take it. Where is it? The scene will be shot at the Wulfrun Hall in Wolverhampton on 5th November. Extras will need to arrive at 10am latest. What shall I bring? All you need is yourself dressed ready for a night out, provisions for lunch, and of course your camera! (refreshments provided).

With fate left to the shake of an 8-ball, who knows where you might end up. It is this reliance on chance that captures the mind of Kal, a young man who needs an escape from the toils of modern life. But even starting anew cannot release him from past encounters. As he crosses paths with other people with troubles of their own, he experiences some of the best and the worst of human nature.
Characters:
KAL - Kal is a young man who wakes with fresh eyes after a heartbreaking collision with a girl. He decides that he will take control of his life from now on. Forcing events to go his way by feeling no fear and making choices right by him. Kal is a lover of everything great. He is a liberal, a punk, a hippie, a socialist. Kal is white, dark haired, wide eyed, average build.
EVE - Has faith issues. She loves the social life but also has to consider the convictions of her Christian upbringing. Stuck in a tug-of-war between religion and the secular world, she hopes for some kind of saviour of the mind. Eve is white, about 5'5", blonde, slender.
LUCY - A young woman with fire in her belly. Girlfriend/partner to Ben. Lucy is rough around the edges and an egocentric. In many ways, her attitude is a reflection of Ben. She is attractive, it's her pride to look good, an appearance that almost blankets who she really is. Despite all this, she is just another number in an office. In appearance, Lucy is similar to Eve at first glance. White, about 5'5", blonde, slender.
BEN - Ben is a lower-class mass-produced adult. Void of any prospects in his life, no inspiration or role models to lead him to great things. He is held back by his own lack of ambition and no desire to take life by the reins. Ben is fueled on anger and hostility supported by his own constant overwhelming and negative thoughts. Spending nights in clubs and on the social scene surrounded by his need for escapism, he is an 'action before thought' man and ignorant to the trouble he causes. Ben is 5'9" to 6'00", slim build/slight muscular, white, dark haired, slightly rugged in appearance.
